AMD K62-400

You sure all you have is 66 MHz? If your board supports the K6-2, you may have 75 or 83 at your disposal as well...

And yes, DaddyG is correct...2X multiplier on a K6-2 is interpreted by the CPU as a 6X.

Also, I don't know that all K6-2 400s have a 2.2V core by default. My 450, for instance, had a 2.4V core. I ran it at 2.9V to get 504. They don't seem to object to much to high voltage, if you have proper cooling on them.

Good luck.

Viper GTS

I don't have the exact refernce in front of me, but there are 2 different version, 1 runs at 2.4, the other 2.2.
2.4 should be marked as AHX-400
2.2 should be marked as AFX-400
This is assuming that my memory is right on this- it should also have the voltage on the chip

DDaD,

I know that the K6-3 400 comes as AHX, but I can't find info on K6-2 AHX.
Any idea where you saw it?

Thanks.🙂

Would be nice if they remapped 2.5 to 6.5
and 3.0 to 7.0 and 1.5 to 7.5
That would give a total of 500mhz on an old pentium board...
But then again 400mhz is better then running it at 366 or 233mhz 🙂
