yeah i did that to a k62 500 once

i was like wow it kinda looks like an athlon but crappier :p

long story to that one, my friend pulled 2 computers out of a wet ditch in a construction area and thought it would be cool to scavenge for parts in my driveway ....

anyway with no way to test it i just slammed it on the floor, and put the pieces back together and it kinda looked like that

curiously i also did the same to my 486DX-2 66MHz chip, and the core was MUCH cooler than that. i suggest you try it, or maybe a classic pentium as well

I did the samething on my K6(2)300 back-in-the-days.

It overclock from 380 semi-stable to 448 (3.5 X 112fsb)

However, I've almost cut my finger doing so.

From a liablity stand-point, not worth it

K6-2's are awesome OCers. With stock fan and and 1 more notch of voltage on the VA-503A i made it from 450 to 600mhz completely stable (albeit hot but can be fixed with a better fan).

Does look pretty cool though.

Not needed. CPUs were not locked, just had to play with jumpers onboard (or the rare BIOS setting) to get multiplier, FSB and voltage. I wonder if these things would clock higher today than before, since I remember CPU HSF technology wasn't as good back then as now.
