AMD/Intel Dual Core CPU's- To be released end April/beginning May

"AMD, which has set a "midyear" target release for its dual-core chips, is dropping hints that the product may arrive sooner. It has told the media to expect important news at a New York event on April 21 to mark the two-year anniversary of its Opteron chip for business PCs, known as servers."

No, desktop dual core chips come a while after dual core opterons. Even if they give out info april 12th, they probably won't be releasing them that early.
