Main rigs are AMD 2100+ and 1600+, still have a PII333 that wy wife uses.

Over the past year or so, with the help of newegg's deals, you just can't beat the price/performance ratio of AMD.

AMD here.

Can't beat the price/performance ratio that I got out of my last three AMD CPU's.

2.4c@2.8 i do a lot of video encoding so amd just wouldnt cut it; however, convinced other people to go the amd route
and not apple because i like to run non-apple programs on my computer (AKA games)

I use my iBook the most, so I must say Apple. Ever since I've gotten one, I fell in love with the hardware. I plan on getting a 12" Powerbook eventually and handing this one down to my girlfriend :)

I'm ashamed to say I'd not heard of AMD until the K6-2 days, but now I'm running a 1900+, so I hope my sins are forgiven.

Will probably go AMD in the future because it's cheaper (unless I get a load of money from somewhere, magically).
