AMD heatsink/fan recommendations

Any suggestions on a good heatsink and fan to go with an
AthlonXP 2500+ Barton?

NewEgg's got it with heatsink and fan included for $96
but I was thinking of going with
AthlonXP 2600+ Barton OEM ($88)
and getting a better heatsink and fan seperately.

*also-what's a good board to go with this CPU?*

Any ideas guys?

thanks....

Its for a friend and he doesn't overclock, just general usage and
a little gaming.

But my primary concern is an alternate heatsink and fan instead of the stock one.

His CPU is fried, and I'm hoping the board didn't go to
thus the question about the board in advance just in case....

What's wrong with the stock heatsink?
Anywho, for a motherboard, the Shuttle AN35-N Ultra is dirt cheap ($53 at Newegg) and gets pretty good reviews from users.

I have had excellent results with the stock fan on retail processors, and they are usually only 6-8 bucks more than the OEMs.

I've heard that, but thought I would try something outside of the stock one....

if you don't think it will make much difference, then I might as well order the
boxed version ($96 at NewEgg)

There's no reason to dump extra cash on a super fance heatsink unless you are going to overclock. The stock cooler will work fine, even with a mildly overclocked system. Save the money and keep it simple.

Speeze are supposed to make some pretty decent heatsinks for very cheap. Whisperrock or falconrock or something. If you're happy to spend money and want the best then look at zalman or thermalright.
