I don't know either.... It should at least be on par with a 7850 or 7870 but most 7870LE's perform worse than both the 7850 and 7870, all of which have a 256 bit memory bus. I think the timings on the LE's must be really high since their memory clock speed (potential) is very high. The high timings would definitely be the ones to blame if you ask me.

I had The Stilt mod my 7870 XT mod my cards bios, he said he improved the 1500 and 1250 timings, but it didn't help my card. maybe 5kh/s I don't know what the heck the problem is. I've gotten it up to 420 kh/s but that was usually a fluke and mines normally 360-380. It should be high 4's or even low 5's based on the hardware but who knows. I moved on and got a 290, and moved the 7870 to my wifes rig, mining at -I 12 -g 2. She can't even tell its mining, but it gets the same 360 kh/s.

Yep, the XFX 7870 LE I had I used -I 12 and -g 2. I couldn't tell it was mining. Zero input lag, zero lag during HD video playback, so if you ask me it is a fair tradeoff. Considering that when I mine on my 7970 with -g2 not only is it super sensitive to CPU load, but even simple actions such as opening/closing tabs or viewing WORD documents can lower my hashrate from high 600s down to low 500s! Syncing wallets or CPU mining (even with spare cores) I really take a dive into the 400s.

So wasn't this card supposed to be widely available by today? (Tuesday March 11th) and yet I don't see one site with one available in North America..

It was supposed to be released by the end of February from some initial reviews I've read.

Newegg seems to be the only place that had them in stock last week... Lasted a whole 15 minutes before they ran out of stock

Wow that price is insane if you are using it strictly for gaming. OC 770s can be had for $329.

If Hawaii wasn't so limited I'm sure they could have released cut-down versions to fill out some of their lineup.

Newegg just had some Sapphire 3L 7950s in stock for $259 after rebate ($279 before the $20 rebate). That's awesome for pricing, I like that trend!

Looks like the first 280's are finally hitting newegg.

Surprisingly, selling pretty close to MSRP.... for now. Mind you, nearly $300 for a 7950 isn't much of a deal if you ask me :/

Considering TD had an XFX 280X DD yesterday for $300 after instant savings, I would have expected the 280s to debut at their MRSP and not a penny more.

With the XFX 280X going for $330-340 on newegg and other 280X's going for a similar price, I think it would be a pretty bad decision to buy a vanilla 280 for only $30-40 less than the X. I wouldn't be surprised if the 280X's drop back down to MSRP by next month considering their prices dropped by $70-100 overnight.
