Mark your calendars for July 16th! AMD and HardOCP are teaming up to deliver the community a GamExperience! Tourneys will be played. Raffles and tons of free stuff will be had. Free-for-all headshots will be made. Winners will be crowned. Losers will be chastised! VIP lounge for Tourney players, plenty of Fusion, Eyefinity, and Big Screen demo stations. And yes, we will give the HardOCP community their first hands-on GamExperience with AMD's next generation unannounced hardware. This event will be open to the public in Dallas, Texas. More details coming soon.

I wasn't sure the best place to post about this. What do you all suppose "AMD's next generation unannounced hardware" is? I was tempted to put this in VC&G because I'm thinking it's the 7000 series GPU's. Could be anything though. So, I put it here.

So, anybody care to speculate?

What usually happens in situations like these? If it were say, an announcement for the 7000 series, is it commonly followed by a hard launch or do we still have to wait a few months?

Bah, Texas, but you can bet AMD is giving away some cool stuff like CPU's or full systems, they always do.

I'll probably be there. Been a few years since I went to one of these, but last time both my buddy and I won top of the line MB+CPU combos. I sold mine on ebay for right at $900 and built a whole new PC.

So...showing off Bulldozer. Yay.

It says, "AMD's next generation unannounced hardware". IMO, Bulldozer doesn't fit the bill. The 7000 series though has only been rumored. No official announcements that I've seen. Maybe they'll have both there? There has been some speculation (wishful thinking?) that they might attempt to release the two together.

Anyone make the event? I was there this weekend, nothing new was announced. We did get to see two bulldozer systems running Dirt 3 on a 3 screen eyefinity projector setup, which was pretty sweet.
There was a lot of hardware given away, I won a Corsair HS1 USB gaming headset, and scored 2 copies of Shogun 2 and STALKER: Call of Pripyat along with a lot of swag.
Overall it was a real fun day.
