I'm glad that I can separate my enthusiast side from my investment side. After AMD lowered Q3 guidance I went and bought 150 shares @ 5.17. Then when it went lower, to $4.75, I bought another 150 shares (POST-Bulldozer!)
Why? Because I know that Bulldozer doesn't mean jack for their profitability. Mainstream CPUs like Llano, Athlon II, etc. are where it's at, and AMD is FANTASTIC. In fact, most builds I do for other people are all about those low end chips -- very few people can afford/care to buy the top notch stuff. Ditto for GPUs.
Made a cool $312 when I sold @ $6.00/share...which I can then go use to buy a SNB if I want! xD
