AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W FD8350FRHKBOX Desktop Processor

These are still good for running Windows 7, if you wondered, whereas Ryzen and Kaby and Coffee Lake aren't so good for that. (Ryzen APUs won't even boot 7, nevermind driver issues.)

Edit: Current deal, for 72 hours, is $66.99, with promo code EMCERPW22 .

FX 9590 was on sale the other day for $85 if you want to heat your room.

I have been running a 8350 for 5 years now at 4700mhz / 235fsb. Win 7 Ult. Runs everything fine.

FX-8350 @ 4.7Ghz? Not too shabby. I haven't tried overclocking my FX-8320E rig, it's on a Gigabyte LM78-USB3 R2 board. (The newest re-release of that board.)

Awesome deal!! I would like to get one just for a collectors item, cant beat $65 bucks.. I had an fx 8300 a few years back that would do 4.6Ghz and ran like a champ in Win 7 and Ubuntu. Great find Larry!!

Dang, was that a shell shocker? Mostly interested in the AES instruction set to keep pfSense running because the ol 1045T is performing well but pfSense devs went off the deep end requiring AES-NI

If you have some DDR3 and a Mobo laying around etc it can make sense for sure.......

However buy An inexpensive AMD mobo. 8gb DDR4. A Low end AMD CPU. $50, $50, $100 so $200 total or $130 extra thereabout. This will be a better investment at this point and I like the FX series.
