Well, this event does not mean AMD/ATI has no issue.

There are several versions of ATI/AMD drivers that always corrupt screen window repainting

For recent versions from v 11.6-v11.9, only v11.6 & v11.9 does not have repaint issue, at least for my machines. v11.7 & v11.8 can't repaint windows properly, they are constantly corrupted.

I had major issues with Nvidia drivers back in the days, bottom line is none of them are perfect.

You the man! You saved my day. The Hannspree TV monitor ST289MUB has a Screen Mode setting: Auto, TV or PC. It's set to Auto. Well, Auto apparently does not work.

After I changed the setting to PC, it works beautifully. And the sun seems sunnier. :)

Thanks everyone.

My samsung 2 in 1 led has the same thing...remote you press to go out of t.v pc or hdmi...since only one hdmi is plugged being the dvr box it picks it up on the fly.

 Happy you fixed it

Might want to update the thread title to be more descriptive, that way someone else might pop in and try some of these solutions. Especially the one that worked. ;p

I tried to do that earlier. Forum does not allow OP to change title.

"AMD drivers suck!"

"No, your TV sucks"

"Oh, you're right. AMD Drivers still suck!"

Glad to see you're your same old self, VC&G

Props to the OP for changing the title. Maybe now is the time to remove the referrals from the sig.

Did I violate forum rules? Anyway, I deleted all but referral links in first post.
