AMD: "Discrete GPUs: Dead, Mostly Dead, or Alive and Thriving"

Besides the disclaimer and the obvious difference between saying "we are releasing" and "we have scheduled", this looks great!

Great seeing AMD on the offensive!

Finally!! I've never saw that coming.... they need young blood and agressiveness, they have the hardware, now they need the motivation and the developer's push.

Next is a CPU GPU RAM combination all on one chip. The OEM's are always pushing to reduce parts count.

I think the DRAM foundries are already pushing 8 Gbit on one dimm on 5x nm node.

With 2 shrinks more (5 years in ram speed cadence), Intel will have a nice capable dimm to be integrated on die.

They have a share in micron already who produces DRAM and flash.

Glad to hear it. I'm definitely ready for a new generation. The 5-series has been out for a while now with no major upgrades since launch, and Fermi was about as exciting as everyone expected.

You mean it was a groundbreaking, asswhooping, mean son of a bitch of a chip completely annihilating Cypress and kicking AMD to the curb so hard the opening scene of American History X seems like childsplay?

Yeah, I'm being sarcastic, I just can't help myself sometimes.
