Hey
The other day I rebooted my computer and it locked up after POST with
"amd data change...update new data to dmi!"
Have looked on web and it seems it could be from any number of things. So i was wondering if you guys could help.
Ive tried messing with bios loading defaults, clearing cmos, reseating ram, trying with 1 less ram stick (1 instead of 2), reconnected hd/gpu/cd drive/ram.
Everything on this pc has worked flawless for about a year.
Everything bios http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/289943-31-data-change-update-data-advice-help#is detected(i think) and the temps are running normal.
I tried to update the mb from the drivers on gigabytes web site but for some reason on 2 different flash sticks and in a few different usb ports, it wouldnt detect it from loading menu in bios.
Also tried to boot the windows cd and unlike alot of people with this problem. I was able to try to reinstall Windows fine and dandy. Very quick and no lock ups but once the restart came had same message.
Also tried to boot up the gigabyte cd and got an odd message
"IDE drive doesn't exist or all primary partitions are occupied."
I don't have http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/289943-31-data-change-update-data-advice-help#HD hooked up ide, its running through gstata ports and have it set that way in bios. Any idea about this message?
Is there anything I can do to rule out what the problem might be?
I think its a mb problem but really want to cut out the other options. Since others have same problem but solution is almost always different.
