I recently formatted and reset my BIOS. I have a DFI Lan Party NF2 Ultra Rev a and an AMD Athlon XP Barton 3000+ 400FSB. My mobo is not properly detecting my processor, and it says it is an Athlon XP at 1050 Mhz with 200 FSB. I dont know how to update this correctly, and i know the comp is running very slow. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Check to make sure the jumper is set properly near the AGP Slot/NB HS..(I think that's where it's located on that MoBo)

Alot of boards don't seem to set up the CPU's right. I think you will just have to go into the BIOS and manually set the right settings.

Read your motherboard's owner's manual for information on setting your FSB to 400. Since it reverted to DDR200 FSB after a BIOS reset, ensure that your jumpers are set right, but expect to need to make an adjustment in the BIOS. I'd download the manual and help with more-detailed instructions, but I gotta get to bed early tonight. :p

It sounds like it is getting the clock multiplier right, so if you set the external frequency to the right setting, you should be fine.

yeah - most of my motherboards have always booted 'new' processors at the lowest bus speed (including after a bios flash); then just set the bus speed properly and you're all set. All it's really doing is making sure the computer can boot even if it's a 200fsb duron in there.

Just a guess but go in and reset your Bios to the default settings and then set everything back to the way you like it.

Most likely is your windows files corrupted due to hdd data lost when your reboot your system too many times.
Reformat or reinstall will help.

p/s: remember to unplug your hdd power cable before you reboot your system many times to test CPU, memory settings.
