I have bought several amd cpu's, duron 900, athlon 1200 & 1600, and was wondering if the heatsink/fan unit i have will work. I have an amd heatsink/fan from a 1ghz but i can't find it. But i do have a black K^ heatsink with a thermal pad and a AAVID fan 12v .07amps. I have two of these and lwould like to use them just for testing to see if the cpus are good and to check the mobos also. The boards i have are shuttle ak31 and an ecs K7S5A pro. All suggestions and helpful advise is appreciated. PM or email me.
 
Just put them on and go into bios for five mintes under hardware monitor and watch temps if it stays below 60 cool
