hey guys
yesterday i broke my cpu :( it was an AMD Phenom II x4, i took to pieces to clean the dust on it, but i broke a pin :(

what can i do? can i try to put the pin on the plate in the corresponding "hole" of the soket? what could i risk?

My mb is ASrock M3A770DE (AM3 socket) - you can find it here http://www.asrock.com/MB/overview.it.asp?Model=M3A770DE
I found this new cpu Phenom II X6: http://www.amazon.it/AMD-Phenom-II-...F8&qid=1372752858&sr=8-1&keywords=phenom+2+x6

do you think it fits 100% with my mb? or there could be any bugs or problems?
should i update bios? if so, can you tell me how please?

thank you!!!

some of the pins don't seem to be 100% necessary for the CPU to work, so I think you should test it

if you can place the broken pin exactly on the right hole I don't see a problem!? as long as it's not making contact with another pin it should be fine.

If you don't want to pay that much money or know you won't need the extra cores, you can look at this X4 965 for 74,24 Euros.

That's after you confirm that the chip is definitely dead and you can't revive it.
