I have a Zalman 7000b, and want to enable cool and quiet, but I don't think i'll work on acount of the FAnMAte and the non-stock fan. What do I need to do to make it work properly?

You don't need the FanMate if your going ot use Cool and Quiet, just plug the fan directly into the MB fan header.

Doesn't Cool and quiet control the fan speed in conjunction with the processor mult? That means if you use a different fan other than stock, it won't work improperly. Am I right?

cool n quiet causes my pc to puke everytime i enable it. however, just ditch the fanmate and plug the fan straight into the mb header. it fits!
