I am currently reviving an older system that I've had laying around for a few years and have run into some trouble finding a specific driver. HP's support for this machine is of absolutely no use and I can't seem to find it anywhere else either. The system is an HP Pavilion a1250n. I have all other necessary drivers installed except the "SM Bus Controller". This is referring to the motherboards chipset, correct? I went to AMD's support page and downloaded the drivers for ATI's Radeon Xpress 200 and obviously that gave me video drivers but no luck on the SM Bus Controller.
HP has completely dropped the ball in terms of support. The only drivers they have for this machine are the video and audio ones and those aren't even the drivers themselves... they're updates. It's laughable.
So as a last resort (sorry!
) I've come here looking for this driver. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
