Know what would be nice whql drivers. If you think 4+ months between stable driver releases are a good thing Amd please just be upfront with customers so we know not to purchase your graphics cards next time.

Another beta? Are you serious? Are they going to release any WHQL drivers this year at all?

Seems like the word "beta" has rendered some unable to read.

This is the release candidate for the WHQL. This means that they're not adding features between now and WHQL, and the WHQL is imminent.

I'm new to this stuff. Give me a break.

I guess that, for this one, installing over the 13.12 driver won't end well. Looks like I'll have to deal with the convoluted mess that is getting into safemode in Windows 8.1

The installer uninstalled my previous drivers automatically.

I installed right over on top of the other ones. Everything went fine. In fact, I can confirm that the alt-tabbing in bf4 mantle is fixed. I always alt-tab out of the game to check various things and prior to this driver it was sluggish upon returning to the game

Windows 8 definitely requires a few more clicks to go into safe mode, but I wouldn't call it a "convoluted mess".

As someone who has not followed each of the beta releases, is there an easy list of the changes since the last WHQL?

Do people have issue with driver uninstalls? I always install right over the top, no issues.

Not sure, but I've done the exact same driver uninstall procedure for the last 3 years without a hitch.

1) Express uninstall all AMD software through Control Panel
2) Driver Sweeper/Driver Fusion to remove any residuals
3) ATIMan Uninstaller to remove any residuals
4) Install new drivers

Not really, but I always do a full uninstall + Driver Fusion in safe mode + CCleaner operation anyway just because I'm weird like that.

Well these are definitely an improvement in BF4 on my 7970 CF. Runs like a dream on Ultra 4xMSAA until the VRAM memory leak creeps up in the 2.9GB range then its back to stutterfest. It took about an hour and half to get up to that point though and it was perfect up until that point. Definitely progress. But like desperado said, I am starting to doubt we will ever see the promised HD7000 optimizations......

I assume this fixes the bugs of the earlier 14.x betas related to OC and powertune? They say nothing about it, but I remember the leaked version referencing that.

Anyways, looks awesome, will DL and install now!

Can confirm that the powertune issues are fixed on this release as they were with the leak.
