AMD Catalyst control panal only recognized 1 of 2 video cards

I tried installing a 6970 along with my 6950, and although both work - only one shows up and will be adjustable in the control panel. Which one depends on the location of the cards.

Any ideas on how to get them both recognized?

Oh did I not mention that I do not have them setup in crossfire more currently? It that an issue... ?

Rigging them in crossfire allowed it to show up. Unfortunately it also leads to 100% CPU utilization when mining that I did not have before.

Any way to see both of them without crossfire?

Are you running XP? I noticed the same thing in WinXP. Whether crossfired or not, only one card shows up.

Under Linux you'd see both cards and not need to set up crossfire unless you really wanted to.

Too bad about the newer 6950s all being hardware castrated, eh? Dual 6970s would have been nice.

try the newest version of sapphire trixx it allows you to overclock and overvolt cards separatley

I have to connect a monitor to my extra 5770 to get it to show up before I can start mining on it, then I can disconnect the monitor again while it mines.

Say wat is the version of Drivers are you using for your Video cards ?

I have the newer 11.7 drivers loaded.

I was able to control both through the Saphire Trixx program, though never had any luck without crossfire enabled using the AMD control panel.

Fortunately I got the CPU pegging issues worked out with crossfire, so now I am able to run crossfire and use the AMD Catalyst control panel.

Yay.

Now we will just see how long my 620 watt PSU holds up putting out 740 watts. So far it has been running just fine. I'm finally glad I purchased a quality Corsair PSU.

I have a quad but it was 50% fo rme.
