AMD Catalyst 14.1 Beta drivers being released in Q1 2014, yet having some great new features. First off, AMD definitely is hinting towards a Mantle release as Battlefield 4 is being mention in the slide. We already learned that Mantle could improve performance of the game by a good 40%. The new driver features the Mantle API, TrueAudio, DirectX 11.2 support and new frame pacing enhancements for 4K and Eyefinity as well
AMD’s Catalyst 14.1 BETA will also activate DirectX 11.2 for the entire AMD Radeon R9 200 series, R7 200 series, HD 7000 series graphics cards available on both desktop and mobile platforms and will make 14.1 BETA compatible with Windows 8.1 featuring support for AMD Eyefinity, OpenCL, OpenGL, AMD Dual graphics, CrossFireX, AMD Overdrive and AMD CCC
