AMD Catalyst 13.3 beta 3 driver

Thanks for the heads up! Been playing Hitman lately, I'm going to install this to see if it helps some of the hanky-janky microstutter.

Edit: Also, "resolves slight corruption in Tomb Raider." Awesome. I played Tomb Raider last weekend and noticed some brief texture flickering (albeit very rarely); I wonder if this fixes it.

Edit: ...I just realized that changelog is for Beta 2, not Beta 3. So it looks like I'm probably not gonna see any improvements. :\

Hopefully this fixes things. I just installed Beta 2 yesterday and I've noticed texture flickering a lot and hair disappearing in TR. It's kind of weird seeing a short-hair Lara Croft...

EDIT: nevermind, missing hair bug is still there in 13.3 Beta 3.

Would you please post a pic of this missing hair, I to would love to see the crazy anamolies TressFX may create.

I posted it in the TressFX thread, but here it is again: http://i.imgur.com/ss1dAiJ.jpg.

It's not a major bug and it only happens in certain areas, but when it does, it happens quite often. I don't know if it's because of 13.3, but it just so happened that I installed 13.3 before I went into the Mountain Village area and it happens a lot. I'm debating whether or not to reinstall 13.2 again and try it.

I got this bug only once, and it only happened in the Mountain Village. Also, this was on 13.1. So I'm pretty sure it's not restricted to 13.3.

Woof, that's crazy. Perhaps she is summoning her inner monk for that portion?

Thanks for the pic, I must have missed it in that TressFX thread.

Oh good grief. It's Sinead O'Connor. AKA the last thing I ever want to see in a video game.

I did a short Hitman testing and recording on my 7950 and didn't see any microstutter.

Some framedrops that occur on the video are due to fraps recording. When the motion is at 60fps it's absolutely smooth.

Didn't test on the beta 2 though. I already had upgraded to beta 3.

That being said, I am at the end level of Crysis 3 and the game crashes right before the final animation or something. It was crashing on the beta 2 as well.

I played the whole game with no problem, no crashes, no microstutter, on my 7950 CFX system with crossfire enabled. It only crashes at the end. Has anyone else faced something similar?

When the framerate is 60fps, it's buttery smooth for me too.

However, when the framerate goes anywhere under 60fps (which is pretty common on my modest 7870), it turns into a micro-stuttering mess. It's a bit of an odd phenomenon.

That's not microstuttering mate. That's framedrops. Of course it will not be smooth if the framerate is not at sync with your refresh rate.

Microstuttering is when you have motion jerkiness at 60fps. This is what happens when I use CFX on Tomb Raider, but as I've said before, this gets remedied if you enabled MSI Afterburner's framerate limiter.

In your case you have to tone down the settings if you are gpu limited, or oc your cpu if you are cpu limited.

No problems at all with this driver. Its a tiny bit slower though. TR runs very smooth..............this game is beautiful!

There are plenty of bugs in Crysis 3. Turn down graphics and see if it helps get you through to the end. FYI, there is a video at the end of the credits if you feel like sitting through it (and it is intensely long).

Yes I will do that, as well as try with one card and if all fails I'll just watch the end sequence on my other system, or Youtube.

Thanks friend.
