Don't know if coincidence or not, but this driver along with Windows 8.1 has significantly improved frame delivery subjectively on my single 7950 setup, testing a heavily modded Skyrim setup, compared to previously. FPS numbers don't seem to be that much changed, if at all. Maybe the Aggressive V-sync interrupt optimization has something to do with that.

AMD better not pull a Microsoft to force us to use Windows 8.1 just to have passably working drivers.

I have my Windows 7 set up exactly how I want it right now.

is "Aggressive V-sync interrupt optimization" limited to WDDM 1.3?

Running the 8.1 preview with these drivers on both my desktop and laptop. One issue I encountered was flickering in Youtube video playback on IE11 with Enhanced Protection Mode (aka 64-bit mode) enabled (which is now on by default). Switching EPM off fixed the flickering. Also, it seems to have fixed the corruption issue I was having in Firefox with hardware acceleration enabled on my desktop with the 13.4 WHQL drivers. I had been getting BSODs related to an ATI service crash every week or so, always when I was running IE snapped to one side of the desktop and Firefox snapped to the other (which, oddly enough, I do a lot), usually when playing a video in one of them. Time will tell if I still get BSODs under the same circumstances.

Humm I'm already running Win8, might as well hop over and see what all the fuss is with this driver.

If you can do FCAT-type testing before and after... that'd be informative. This is thought to have an early version of the fix in it... if you've had stutter issues.

Sadly I don't have the hardware required, it's expensive!

Capture card and SSD raid array alone probably cost as much as my entire build :|

Hmm, the Youtube flickering actually still seems to happen in IE11 regardless of Enhanced Protection Mode. It doesn't happen in Firefox.

Did you notice if you right clicked the player the flickering stops?

No flickering in Chrome v30.

So has it been confirmed that stuttering in crossfire has been fixed with these drivers?
