AMD Catalyst™ 13.6 Beta2 for Windows®

You are waiting a sufficient length of time after the monitor goes black, right? It is completely normal for the screen to blank out during driver install, it should come back on within a minute or so.

One thing to try, if your motherboard has multiple video output, try the other output. If you are using analog VGA, try the DVI, or vice-versa. It may be that the default output changes when you install the driver.

i am sponsored by amd and i got 6800k apu without a graphic card

everytime i try to download and install AMD Catalyst™ 13.6 Beta2 for Windows® my monitor goes black wtf can some1 help me??

Sponsored? IE you get hardware for review/test/etc?

So AMD finally got their own Focus Group thing going? Interesting...

Seeing as how you disclosed your affiliation, not sure if you gotta tag it in your sig, probably should to be safe.

Welps, back to everyone being an undercover employee! 😉 (Note: This is actually a joke, not accusing anyone. 🙂 )

The info about the drivers is good though, I will likely try them for my 7970.

I saw an interview of an AMD guy somewhere and I could swear they said these "test drivers" are supposed to disclose their status as such.

Now we have Durvelle and Vegata disclosing at times, not at others. Must not be a hard and fast rule.

Now that you mention it, I do remember Durvelle signed up for something...

Damn, that was a while ago...I remember it being more recent. Haha.

I guess he got picked for it? What swag did he get?

I'd figure AMD would demand explicit disclosure.

EDIT:

haha, this guy:

Did I miss some fireworks when he told people or did it go unnoticed? Sorry, I don't frequent ATF as often, only when slow work weeks.

Clearly he isn't a tester, but rather a pro gamer or streamer.

Anand has yet to do something about it and its been over 10 days or something...

Its strange that AMD would sponsor someone so inept with a postcount <10 on AT. Viral marketers/focus groups are people who are reasonably expert with recognizable nicks.

And do you ever see Durvelle trolling the forums and trying to convince others that Intel/Nvidia is rubbish? Nope... He signed up for the gig and AMD sent him some hardware. What is so wrong with that?

Have you not been following AMD as a corporation the last half decade?

I wouldn't be surprised if this is exactly how they handled their attempt at stealth marketing. Haha.

I personally don't care much, but it may be against the law:

AMD needs all the help they can get, and I need drivers for my 7970, but I don't know if this is the way.

Hint to AMD: Send me another 7970 and I'll put AMD Sponsored in my sig.
