ok, I've calmed down now

http://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/Lapto...ch laptop-t5y05av-1?jumpid=Laptops_Finder_PDP

detractions to note:
1TB 7200rpm (high power draw?) HDD, msata? no m.2?
ddr4 (yeah) 2133MHz (boo) single channel (wtf!)
convertible hinge (waste IMHO)
15.6" is the only size available.

its not at my local store yet :(
I must say than although I don't share your enthusiasm for anything AMD is selling right now, I have a lot of respect for said enthusiasm and the fact that you put your money where your mouth is with these products.

Hope you enjoy your new laptop!

I'd really like to know if it actually has 2 available dimm slots.

Furthermore, what kind of vram bandwidth do these DDR4 apus have?

The memory controller on Carrizo wasn't all that much different from the one on Kaveri. Don't expect too much.

I thought the limiting factor was the DDR3.
The limiting factor was the clockspeed, at least as far as iGPU bandwidth was concerned. read: no DDR3-2666 or anything higher. On Carrizo, it's no better: DDR4-2400 is the top speed supported by the memory controller.
