AMD C&Q + integrated audio weirdness?

I've upgraded myself from a Socket A 3200+ based rig to a S939 3200+ A64 (asrock dual sata II motherboard).

I'm using my 6800GT in the AGP slot until I get a 7900GT PCIe.

This means I only have one free PCI slot if I want the graphics card to have breathing room, and that PCI slot is currently taken by an IDE expansion card, so I"m using the integrated audio.

The audio quality is quite nice - when it actually produces it properly, not noisy or hollow like some have said about the motherboard.

However the audio has serious problems staying in sync/not stuttering etc. I don't use integrated audio for client builds and I'm quite suprised it could be this terrible, especially since the realtek codec responsible for the audio seems to be everywhere nowadays.

I have C&Q enabled in the BIOS and amd's processor driver V1.3.1 installed, could C&Q be causing the audio problems somehow? The graphics side of things is fine, no hitches or glitches to be seen, just the audio being silly.
