I bought an AMD 1.33 Ghz processsor that idles at 56 degrees C and peaks at 63C when I play Quake 3. I have a Cooler Master CPU fan but would like to know if a fan upgrade would help. Does anyone know a fan that is good? I'm new to AMD's so any help would be appreciated. Heres a list of stuff I have
CPU AMD|T-BIRD 1.33GHZ/266
DDRAM 256MB|32X64 PC-2100
HD 20GB|IBM 7200RPM
VGA LEADTEK|GF2 PRO5.5ns DDR64M TV
MSI k7t266 ddr Mainboard
CoolerMaster FAN EP5-6I11(1.33GHZ) AMD
Antec KS280 Medium Tower ATX 300W
The ambient Temp in Hawaii(Where I live) is 87 and humid as hell. I also installed a Case fan in the back of the tower that seemed to help.
Thanks for all the help!!!
P.S. - I have a golden gate CPU fan on order but should that be enough???
