It is just a rebranded memory from Patriot if I'm not mistaken. Nothing out of the ordinary considering that Corsair started off with the RAM business and now you could practically build a whole rig with at least 50% of the components from Corsair.

Anyone else notice this? I think it's rather odd of AMD to be getting in the memory business.
Perhaps it's just some other manufacturer's re-branded memory.
been on the egg for a month or so now...

I dont know why anyone would buy that but, interesting.
other than the fact that the stuff hasn't been on the market for very long, why wouldn't you buy it? its competitive with some of the lowest of memory prices on newegg, and its got extremely low profile heat spreaders, so there's no need to worry about whether they'll will clear whatever ungodly large CPU cooler sits right next to them.

One reason to buy those is that the particular Models will always use the same components. This is something other RAM makers don't do, they regularly change revisions, using different RAM chips and other things which causes incompatibilities amongst similarly named sticks. This means you can buy a pair of AMD sticks now, then another pair of the same Model years from now and they'll work together fine.

It's not a huge selling point, but something that differentiates AMD RAM from others.

I was thinking about buying that stuff for my 2500k when it was a shellshocker but I was afraid it wasn't going to report timing properly with intel. But who knows, its probably the same stuff as the patriot signature series I have now.

Should work just fine. My AMD GPU works with my Intel build great.
