I know that B450 boards gaven't been out that long but those of you who have purchased them, what is your experience in building a system with one? Any issues? How is the 2200G/2400G APUs support?

Has BioStar gotten any better since the early 2000's? However I think I would get a ASRock board instead.

I think they should be pretty decent, they are still around 😉 But in all seriousness, their reviews seem to be not bad, I think its good price and quality.

In my country at least, BioStar, ECS, Maxsun, and Colorful are still popular amongst ultra-budget / novice users thanks to their aggresive pricing. But those who have extra needs (OC stability, on-board sound quality, etc) usually shy away from these brands.

I had two BioStar Socket A motherboards. The second one died on me and haven't used one of their boards since. I've learned the hard way not to not to be cheap on motherboards, memory, case, and PSUs.

Well, to be fair, at that time we had bad caps fiasco didn't we? And not to mention PSU at that time wasn't as reliable as today.

Now that you mentioned PSUs, I used the one that came with the case I used when I did my first build in 2000. It was a Deer PSU that died a year after I did the build.

Asrock B450 mini—ITX, Ryzen 5 2400g, Gskill RAM, Win10...so far it’s been flawless at stock speeds.
Both the board and RAM support XMP 2.0 so with a simple bios selection the RAM is running at 3200.

I hadn’t built a new machine in a few years, and even longer with anything AMD, but I’m extremely happy with it thus far.

That is the board I am looking at.
