I just got myself a new comp and when I check the temp it says 64°C in windows idle (not over clocked)
This is an AMD 1.333 ghz (axion) with a asus motherboard and TaiSol CGK742092 and a fan
Theres no pasta in between, only that chewinggum like thing that was on the cooler self
What could I do to solve this problem?

And would a
SWIFTECH MC462 with Delta Fan
and
Arctic Silver Thermal Adhesive pasta

make much of a difference ?
I wan't to overclock it to 1.5 ghz or 1.6 ghz

I didn't know that Artic Silver had pasta out too :D

Anyway your temps sound high. Make sure that you installed the hsf properly. You can try removing that thermal pad and applying some AS2.

Okay dont ever put thermal adhesive on a cpu. You want thermal paste. The pad is a phase change thermal compound and it will "melt" to fill the gaps and then your temps will go back down.

Seems like you're not getting a very tight connection between processor and heatsink. I'd pull the pad and use some paste, even if it's just cheap stuff.

My 1.2@1.33 only runs like 24case 29 cpu, and im using a 80mm panaflow on my wbk38
