Seriously people, did you not read the contest rules? There is ONE WINNER PER DAY. That's it. Potentially millions of people play every day, but only one wins. The day's winner is the person that plays at or immediately following a time that was randomly pre-selected. So if 11:52:39 was today's winning time, the first person that played at or after 11:52:39 is the one that wins for that day. It doesn't matter what you aim at, you've already won or lost before you pull the trigger for the first time. It doesn't matter if you got 2 out of 3, you weren't close to winning.

I think that AMD should have spent the money they paid the programmers for this pointless Flash game on some prizes instead. A contest that runs 61 days and has 61 prizes is weak, especially when 1/4 of those prizes are a bundle of 3 PC games. The total retail value of all of the prizes combined is $30,899.29. Seems like an $11,500,000,000 company could come up with something a bit better...hell, I think my mom could possibly do better than this if she economized a bit here and there.

Of course, I still play it twice a day. After all, somebody eventually wins the lottery. I'm just saying that you shouldn't obsess with the "I got 2 out of 3 twice in a row" thing, or the "which boxes should I shoot?" thing...just shoot the first three things that move and get on with your life, as it doesn't make any difference.

My feelings exactly.

I totally disagree. They don't have to give anything away. Obviously, these giveaways are for nothing except advertisement. Also, your mom would be a fool to give away $30,000 ;)

You just wrote 3 paragraphs about their "Lame giveaway", so its doing exactly what they intended to do, luring you into their basically free advertising.

You look at it once a day and read a thread about it. That comprises of what? At least 5 minutes a day? They are spending $30,000 to accomplish the same strength of advertising that a tv ad would do with a few million dollar ad campaign. I would say whoever thought of it is brilliant.

Besides if you do win its a plus. Its almost like the AMEX giveaway. Winning the porsche might have worse odds than the lottery, but the amount of internet traffic they receive would probably cripple 99.99% of the sites currently online. Ingenius ways to advertise with an added bonus to the people who actually win something. Better yet, they arent even making it a raffle, all they ask for is your time.

Just played and won an XBOX 360. I went to the rules and read this:

8. Requirements of Potential Winners: Except where prohibited, potential winners may be required to complete and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release (the ?Affidavit/Release?) within twenty-one (21) days of being notified. If a potential winner fails to sign and return the Affidavit/Release within the required time period, then the prize will be forfeited. In addition to these requirements, potential winners who are residents of Canada will be required to correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill testing question (administered by telephone) without any assistance in order to receive a prize. Potential winners who are residents of the United States may also be required to provide their Social Security Numbers to the Sponsor for purposes of shipping the prize into the United States.

Has anyone who won reveived the instruction email?

I read the terms and I found this pretty hilarious-
"In addition to these requirements, potential winners who are residents of Canada will be required to correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill testing question (administered by telephone) without any assistance in order to receive a prize."

And thats why Canada sucks. No offense, I have family there and it has nice weather but WTF comes to mind after reading this.

Actually there is a reason behind this. IIRC, companies (without a license) can't run lotteries so they get around that by including a skill testing question. You get the prize for answering the question correctly and if you screw that up (basic arithmetic), you don't deserve to win ;)

It's an ancient law thing... and mathematical skill testing question can be something like 1+1.
And they usually give you plenty of time. I know this because I have won some stuff before.

Most bizarre one was for some Blue Jay tickets (back in 91, when they were good). My mom and my sister entered the contest and they both won a pair of tickets... I answered the skill testing question for both :) funny thing is my sister didn't go because she didn't care for it.

Not much better than Coke Canada's recent PS3 A Day contest. One random instant winner a day. There were 5 days in which no one won and those 5 were not redrawn.

Thanks (I think) but I haven't received the email yet. I did screen print the notification with the prize number. I was wondering if Whitedogg received the email yet. I'm curious what they require. I'm a bit hesitant to send them my SSN.

SSN for tax reasons, it's over $600. Just like that recent free Vista + Office promotion. You may have to pay taxes on it, as well.
