AMD Athlon64 FX and motherboard and ECC problem

Hi:

Okay, as far as I recalled, AthlonFX motherboards need ECC DDR to run, correct?

Have anybody tried with ordinary DDR400? Cause I think that in my company, we tried Asus SK8N with Corsair XMS series, and they're okay...

Any hint?

I have the SK8N motherboard and the FX CPU with Corsair XMS 3500 and it was a no go.

it needs registered ram not ecc (although registered ram is usually also ecc)
