ANd its boxed...The reviews on Pricegrabber seem super positive, only 30 negs some people crapping about how it was weekend and holiday's.

OEM is cheaper, but can anyone tell me whether it is safe to buy OEM?

Retail = box, warranty (around 1 year), includes a heatsink/fan, possibly a sticker

OEM = no box, short warranty (30 day), no heatsink/fan, no sticker.

Hot deal!

Nice deal, which is better: Agoga XP 1900+ (newegg - $130) or this deal.

Also, do the retail boxes usually come with the heatsink attached to the CPU? Or is it separate.

You might want to put in your title the speed/model of this processor. Thanks, i might pick this up for a friends computer im building.

edit
-----
the heatsink is not already on the cpu with the retail package or any package for that matter...the heatsink must be clipped onto your motherboard, it just rests on top of the cpu...

The sticker is well worth the extra money! Not many people know this, but every cool sticker you add to your case increases its speed by 50 MHz ! A very similar sticker/horsepower effect is found on street racers' cars.

Not to mention the swell paperweight that comes in the package! As a bonus, it can even do a mediocre job of cooling your CPU while making inordinately large amounts of noise.

-Ice <-- Bought retail, and ended up dumping the POS heatsink that came in the box

Separate. You can't really attach a heatsink to the CPU without the motherboard.

This is in my dream machine bag, This is also an update, if you dont like the vendor, GoogleGear has the exact same thing for 150$, 19$ more...but Googlegear is 50 cents shipping....plus GoogleGear is in my opinion the best online vendor, The site is so organized, I love it. If you really want the 5.40$ discount go with compu. 2000+ What a great price for a CPU...

(about the fan)

Well, I dont know what to say, Ive heard a lot of contrversy over AMD certified Coolers, I figured that If it COMES from AMD it obviousely is certified, add another case fan if you think its to hot. Im getting bored this summer, 16 jobless, carless, peniless, and my parents wont let me have the cash to learn more about computers...honestly Pentium 2 250 with some weirdo graphics card. And It was like last year, I was lookin at vendors 1400$, 1300$, 1200$, and then now finally my final offer, 1000$ for a shagadelic comp...but no no bata....sigh

According to CNET, AMD just cut their Athlon XP prices by up to 20%, so they're probably just getting the jump on other vendors hoping to snag some extra sales before the competition lowers prices as well.

I think (not 100% sure) that it was about $180 two days ago.
