AMD Athlon XP Speeds

Could someone please explain to me what the formula for determining the (2600+, 2800+) numbers are in the Athlon XP processor series. If it operates at 2.08 GHz, and it says that it is 2800+, how do you determine what speed it performs at if you say, overclock it to 2.2 GHz. Thanks

2.2GHz corresponds to a AMD Athlon XP Barton 3200+ w/ 512k with 400FSB.

SIS Sandra also has an AMD PR rating it will give you based on performance. Generally though, if you just look at the specs, an AMD Athlon XP Barton 3200 runs at 2.2 Ghz 400FSB and has 512KB Cache.

I never thought of that, I guess I should just compare it to the faster processors, thanks
