This company will ship to the United States however! They don't list prices on the Athlon XP 1800+ right now however ... If their prices are good, this is a hot deal!

Here's a link for ya too: www.e-compuvision.com

Yeah, I guess they updated their web page sometime this morning, or I had an old cached page or something. It said "COMING SOON" when I checked it out this morning :) ... $262 is a decent price but its around what you'd pay for a Retail boxed version of the processor which gives you a decent heatsink/fan and a 3 year warranty versus a 1 year warranty from e-compuvision. You do get the special stepping of the processor which is supposed to be good for overclocking ... although the heatsink/fan combo they give you seems to leave a lot to be desired for overclocking :)

Quite a few negative replies for Viking. When dealing with online retailers I'd prefer to spend a bit more and assure myself that the service I will recieve from the company will be top notch. 3-5 negative comments is bearable cause nothing is garanteed perfect forever... but when you start getting to 15-16 I personally dont feel comfortable.

LiQiCE: I am more then certain that you will get the chip and overclock it all the way upto 1.75-1.8 like many people have been doing with the AGKGA "Y" stepping... which is what CompuVision offers.

As long as there is a deal that benefits the viewers I'd imagine so...

Guess again!

"No dealers and no SPAM" You'll find that on the front door. ;)

Dealers are not allowed to post hot deals here because it is in effect advertising. And advertisers must pay to be on AnandTech. I didn't realize that PsyOps is a dealer. You should know that this is a long standing rule here at AnandTech, you may want to change your post title to "MODS PLEASE LOCK" before they decide to lock it and ban you from the forums (I don't know what the normal procedure is, but the mods do ban people for breaking certain rules). It is a fine line, and I'm sure you simply want customers to get in on good deals, but the advertisers that actually pay money and help AnandTech running would probably have a problem with it... I'm sure you understand the conflict of interest this creates for AnandTech as a company.

Ok, this is ADVERTISING.

PSYOPS became a member 3 days ago . . . and has the name Ralph (from Ontario). If you look at the homepage for http://www.e-compuvision.com there is a few stuff from "Posted by Ralph on" all over the page. Kinda strange, but my gut tells me that Anandtech Ralph = Compuvision Ralph.

I wouldn't give too much credit to someone who came out of lurking 3 days ago just to advertise and bash other retailers. 17 posts to his name and 6 are from this thread.

I think the reply to PCSPEAKER's question about dealers pimping their own goods:
As long as there is a deal that benefits the viewers I'd imagine so...
suggests that PsyOps is indeed a dealer as well. If PsyOps is not a dealer, and the MODs agree that he is not than I apologize, however my feeling is that he is in fact a dealer.

Also because I just realized his quote :
LiQiCE- I responded to your email but GtPrOjEcTX beat me to it. There are about 45 units left of the FCE-62540D last time I checked. refers to the email I sent to e-compuvision's Customer Support that he replied to (I included my AnandTech username since the deal specifically requested that).

In any case, if you are a dealer then this post is not allowed, if you aren't I'm sorry.

I just started posting and never knew that I couldnt post deals for fellow Anandtech members. I read the first 4 posts which were started by an Anandtech moderator but it never mentioned anything about not being able to post deals forn the community. If I have indeed screwed up I am sorry if I offended you. I meant no harm in this and honestly dont feel like getting flamed for such an error. I just joined the Anandforums and find the best opinions and readers posting on this community, thats why I started this offer. I am sorry if some of you feel this is a pimping threat, but at least it benefits others also. Once again I'm really sorry guys... especially to those who got upset. (Trip1268 and Rainguy)

No harm meant to be done.

Hey guys take it easy. I know PsyOps didnt mean to do any harm(and to me noone was done, correct me if im wrong tho). As he stated he didnt know, and to my knowledge he did a bigger effort then most peeps do by reading the 4 mod post @ the top of the topic. And to my knowledge in those post there is nuttin that says dealers cant post(but i know it). And well were are the rules for the Hot deals section ?????. So how was he supposed to know. As in any other case you guys could of just pm'd him and you Rainguy a Diamond Member of all members you should of known better, especially if someone would of done that in one of your threads in the fs&trade forum you would of been pissed. So lets all jsut leave this thread die and all will be good folks. :)

<< Post the hottest prices and deals you've found on the net in the AnandTech Hot Deals forum. Please stick to deals you've found, not items you are seeking. This is NOT a shopping service. No dealers and no SPAM (IE: muli-level marketing, pay-to-surf, pay-for-referral schemes or links to auctions) allowed! Please DO NOT POST COUPON NUMBERS or PROMOTIONAL CODES.

buffhr I guess you should read what this forum is for then. It is listed in the description of the forum. Thanks for your advice.

yeah Rainguy i saw that but as i stated in my previous post "And to my knowledge in those post there is nuttin that says dealers cant post(but i know it). And well were are the rules for the Hot deals section ?????. " i did not say in description. So he missed that, but still i point out that there are no rules posted in thsi topic for peeps to read like in the f&s trade forum. Tha be a good addition to this topic.

This is an unfair business practice. Dell does not send reps here to tout their deals. I understand you are new here that is no excuse to break the rules. you apologized to us, now follow through with the rules, change your topic to mods please lock.

If you refuse to I'm sure Ananadtech Moderators would be more than happy to publicize your attempts to do this.

Thanks.
