it is in essence a Sempron, based on the dubline core,

It has no 64bit
it is single channel
it has smaller cache
it DOES have an onboard memory controller
it DOES have SSE & SSEII
it does run on a hypertransport bus
it is electrically and physically compatible with a socket 754 A64, ANY A64 mobile. a sempron which is a bit faster because of more cache will work and so will a full A64 754.

all A64s, requardless of model, support all of the AMD powernow power management so you will get those benefits, you just need to watch the maximum power ratings of the chip you put in, or else you could get a machine that is always in a lower cpu speed to fight off heat.

I wonder if you can open it up, and stick a different CPU in it? Or is the CPU soldered on?

Wow, that could be a very hot deal, if you can swap in a desktop A64-M chip. Interesting about the 'Dublin' core, A64 core with only 128KB L2 and minus x86-64, that's news to me. Kind of like an A64 Applebred, almost.
