I currently have an Asus A7V133 w/ raid. I have a Socket A 750MHz Duron cpu in there working fine. I was considering buying an Athlon XP cpu to put in there, however, I am not sure it will work, and not sure if it can handle it w/o damage to either piece.
I has 200/266 FSB, yet so does the new MSI motherboard my uncle has, and he has an Athlon XP 1800+
my motherboard is made to handle from 550MHz to 1.3+GHz it says Duron/Tbird chips, however the Athlon XP isnt mentioned.
Can someone PLS tell me if the Asus A7V133 is Athlon XP compatible? I also have an ECS K7VZA which runs the duron, is THAT Athlon XP compatible (I doubt it, but pls let me know...)
PMs only pls
