Would a AMD Athlon Xp 2400+ decrease a 6800 gt agp's pefermonce?Im mainly gonna use it to play Battlefield 2.

It would perform worse than if it was on a more powerful cpu, but it would still be perfectly playable at maximum settings.

What do you mean by AGP performance?

CPU has nothing to do with AGP perofrmance, if your motherboard is only capable of 4x AGP then yes it will limit your performance in certain games but the CPU does not determine your AGP speed.

If you mean that it is a bottleneck, then yes it is but only a little bit since most games are very GPU intensive.

I just meant would a AMD athlon affect a 6800 gt perfermonce,I just said agp to indicate the card is agp.

we figured it was an agp card since we are talking about an athlon XP.

Something will always be the bottleneck. Either its the CPU, or the GPU.
