AMD Athlon System Bus

AMD's web site says, "At present, AMD Athlon processors are available with 266MHz and 200MHz system buses."

Please advise how one might be able to identify a 266Mhz from a 200Mhz system bus.

straight from the AMD website

AMD Athlon? processor with a 266MHz front-side bus supporting PC2100 DDR memory technology is available at 1.2, 1.13, and 1GHz.
AMD Athlon? processor with 200MHz front-side bus supporting PC1600 DDR memory technology is available at 1.2GHz(1200MHz), 1100, 1000, 950, 900, and 850MHz

but you already looked there.. 🙂 i would guess that when you buy one it would say somewhere before you make the purchase, like in the description what FSB the proc is designed for.. i don't see a section on AMDs website with spec info like Intel provides (tsk tsk tsk)

to see if it's 200 or 266 MHz FSB part, you look at the part number ... it should read A1200AMS3C if it's a 266MHz part or A1200AMS3B if it's a 200MHz part(here using the 1200MHz Tbird as an example)
