How hot is the athlon 64 3200+ supposed to be when playing games? Mine is 38 degrees when I restarted and immediately checked the bios. How hot should it be. I also have one of the side pannels open. I don't know if mine is overclocked because I can't tell.

That seems entirely fine.

Get Motherboard Monitor 5 (somewhat dated now) or Speedfan to monitor temps in Windows.

You know that I meant degrees Celcius right? And what if I close the case's side pannel and what if I use it for a while and dust gather in my heatsink? And the gigabyte MIT(motherboard intelligent tweaker) seems to be overclocking my cpu by 200 mhz and video card by 66 mhz. I don't want that because I don't want it to overheat. How can I disable the mit? Thanks.

d00d, you are a long way from overheating.

When you hit 65C or above, then it's time to get worried. 38C is great.

If you are really concerned about the OCing, go into your bios & load default values.

Also, spray a little compressed air around once a month to keep things from getting too dusty.

The defaults overclocks the cpu and the graphics chip. The manual said 200 mhz minimum. But the control pannel and dxdiag siad that the cpu is only running at 2010 mhz. So I don't know which one is it. And what's a good temperature for the geforce 6800 GT? Mine got kind of hot.

It's fine. I OC'ed my CPU to 2.7ghz (50%) oc and it's still fine under load. Don't worry about it. I oc'ed my GPU more than 66mhz and it's fine.

Actually it's supposed to be 200 mhz. And I'm using the origional fan that came with the cpu. I'm worried about the video card. The geforce 6 series are pretty hot already and another 66 mhz for the GT makes it faster than the ultra. I don't know if it will damage it.
