I'm making a budget gaming pc based on an AMD X2 5000 running XP SP3.
It seems there is a lot of confusing information out there regarding exactly what extra software needs to be installed with this CPU. I'm going to disable Cool & Quiet if that matters.
I'm thinking XP with Service Pack 3 should not require me to install anything extra, though I want to make sure I am not leaving any performance on the table.
