would this cpu be able to handle decoding a dvd using dvd shrink 3.2 and play cs:s at the same time?

i am asking because when i try to do this even with dvd shrink at low priority mode and cs:s at low quality, i barely get 30-40 fps with the rig in my signature.. should i be able to do better?

If you change the priority (if there is an option for it) for the dvd software, possibly...

But other than that... Not really.

Set the affinity and it should be fine.

If setting the affinity doesn't solve it, I'd have to assume it's Hard Disk read/writes that are limiting the FPS, so if you can set CS:S to run from a seperate hard disk to the DVD softwrae... might sort it out.
