Hi,

I want to buy this proc AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ Brisbane 2.1GHz on newegg, but I can not find any reviews on net. I already have am2 mobo with singlecore athlon.

Please, help, any infos about the proc, oc anything

thanx

the brisbane 3600's usually oc into the high 2ghz range and sometimes even break 3ghz (not too uncommon) on air and cost $59 with free shipping at the egg.

I used this CPU in a PC I built for my Dad a few weeks ago & it performed surprisingly well ... the motherboard I got him (Asus M2N) was very light on overclocking features but it still easily reached 2.6ghz & likely would have gone higher but at that point I lost interest since Dad will be running it at default 2.1ghz speeds anyway.

If you plan on overclocking I'd go with a 3800+ instead because its cheaper & its 10x multiplier will make your life a bit easier.
