AMD Athlon 64 Upgrade Question

Can I add upgrade my CPU to this AMD Athlon 64 LE-1640 Orleans 2.6GHz

I now have a 1.6 AMD Athlon 64

I think the Bois will let me over clock to that

No, your (Abit KR7a133R) mobo is way too old for this processor, and you'd need DDR2 memory too.

Support AMD Athlon XP CPU, 0.18 micron process Palomino up to 2100+ and 0.13 micron process Thoroughbred up to 2000+.

That what last Bios says

Would be nice to spring the $35 for a new processor but the $200+ I paid for the 1400 XP

You paid $200 for an Athlon XP? I paid $140 at a computer show for a retail XP 1800+ CPU, and a KT4V-L mobo, both new products at the time.

Larry Iam not sure but I think it was around that..

I sure remember paying $300 for 60 gig HDD though
Then I may have been a 30 gig, prices are sure much better now that 5+ years ago
