if you want to spend 630 on a cpu, get the x2 4400, sure your losing out on 0.2 ghz, but your getting a 2nd cpu as well (and 0.9micron process so it will overclock a lot better)

as well the fx-53 is socket 940, do you have a socket 940 board? you have to use registered ecc (error correcting ram) for it

=/ don't blow 700 on an old cpu...get the latest X2 amd 64 chips IMO. not worth spending money on old technology ._., just follow coomar's advice ! He is right on the spot 🙂 😉
