Shhh! Don't post stuff like this, because more people will go and buy them and cause the item to go out of stock again! (How greedy of me) JK, anyway nice deal! Is ZZF a good place to order from?

My coworkers and I find newegg and zipzoomfly to both be excellent. In terms of who is better -they are the same, we usually go with who is cheaper on a particular item and order from that place (either newegg or ZZF). I'm pleased with them thusfar - plus ZZF has free shipping on most items.

Let's hope that this is a sign that prices on Winchesters are finally beginning to ease. Now, if we can just get this baby down to the $200 range . . . .

Great for 3500+ non ocers, though I think it was cheaper back about 2 months ago when I bought my 3000+...For ocers it is a lame price considering it will likely oc to same or near same levels at 2x the cost one can get a 3000+ for now....That is pretty bad price/performance ratio, but heck all cpus get bad as they climb to each companies flagship cpu...

The 3500+ suffers from low availablity and etailers playing the business....

I'm confused. Isn't this the same thing Newegg has had for a couple of months now at 270? Or is the Winchester core something completely new?

Your thinking the 3500+ with newcastle core for around $270.

Newegg is selling the winchester version of this chip for around $329, where Zipzoomfly is charging $290.

Ohhhh, I see. Thanks for the clarification. I just checked it out, and indeed, the Winchester core is much more power efficient. Good thing to know before I buy a new CPU.
