Is there any advantages of having an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ CPU if you are running 32 bit OS and software?

Next question I read the AMD Athlon 64 3200+ is more or less equivalently to the P4 3.2GHz is this true?

Gaming the 3200+ is faster. Encoding the P4 wipes the floor with the AMD. Office apps are probably the same. Depends on the benchmark.

I have a system built around the 64 3200+, has a PCIE ATI X850XT and it runs great. Can almost play Oblivion with all the eye-candy on. Makes a great backup gaming system for me. I got the chip up to 3800 speeds once but put it back to stock.
