OK, i want to know how to overclock it I have no idea how to overclock CPU's so pleese could anyone help me here is my computer specs.


AMD ATHLON 64bit 2.1ghz 3200 (would like to know how)
512mb ram (i am working on gettin a gig really soon) KVR400/512R 512 PC3200 CL3 184-pin DIMM (two of them)
Geforce Asylem fx 5200 256mb pci (overclocked)
Asus A8N-SLI motherboard (can you over clock them?)
250gig hard drive
16x DVD ROM
Soundblaster AUDIGY PLATNUM 2 Card
MS Windows PRO (no sp)

The 3200 runs at 2.1 GHz? I thought it was at 2.0 or 1.8.... and yep... right there on newegg's front page is the AMD 64 3200+ at 2.0GHz... so if you are 2.1 you are already technically overclocking the processor.

But as others have suggested... the search function and the sticky at the top of this forum are your friends.

When you say PCI on your video card do you really mean PCI, or do you mean PCI-E, they are two fairly different things... i am mostly confused because i didnt think that anyone made a PCI-E FX5200 so why would you be running PCI unless you ran out of cash (perfectly valid answer by the way... my last machine was built from the ground up to OC... spent extra cash on the RAM and Mobo to ensure it.. but skimped on the graphics card and hard drive space [not real smart for me])

But ultimately... read the OCing guide.

Are you after more game performance or general performance? If game performance, you're better leaving the CPU for now and just saving up for a better graphics card...
