AMD Athlon 2600+ vs. AMD Athlon 64 3300+ 2.40GHz

I'm thinking of getting this AMD Athlon 64 3300+ CPU. Will there be a noticeable improvement over my AMD Athlon (non 64) 2600+? Not for gaming so much as wanting Google Earth to load faster when I zoom into cities and tour mountains.
