It was 53.99 yesterday, it's only 2 dollars off. Nothing terribly exciting.

Well OS, it's still an amazing value and almost a gauranteed XP 2000+ overclock as long as you have decent RAM / cooling. By the way how do you check how much stock NewEgg has left for a particular item?

Yeah, I got xp1600+ from new egg about a month ago it was an AGOIA core, the one which is famouse for actually being a faster chip than what they mark them at, was like 53 bucks plus I payed extra 5 bucks for a year of warranty. Came out to like 58 dollars. Paired it with DDR 2700 ram, upped the clock speed to 166mhz (requires ddr 2700 memory or higher) from 133 and now it runs at 1.75ghz (10.5 x 166) like a charm. That's between 2100+ and 2200+. Can't get much better than that for that kind of price! I could try going higher, but then I have to unlock the multiplier and I don't know how.

I'm not saying it's a bad deal/chip, I'm just saying it's not really any cheaper than it was yesterday or tomorrow.

Anybody ordered from them lately?? They have been shipping pretty bad chips for a short period of time last month.

I wouldn't say they have been sending bad chips, I got one 2 days ago that was AGOIA 0224. The only people leaving feedbacks are probably those who didn't get the exact markings they wanted ;)

Bought the one in my sig about a month ago. I've bought 4 from newegg so far and yet to get a "bad" chip.

My definition of "bad" chip is a dud that does not o/c like a mofo. I got my AROIA from NEwegg last month too.

last week i bought a xp1600 from newegg. Stock it was 133*10.5 for 1400mhz. Mine is happy at 166*10.5 for 1750mhz or 2100xp speeds. For $50+ bucks its hard to pass. Great upgrade from my duron 600@1.03ghz.

i'm crazy, so i've bought 10+ chips from them when they were guaranteed AGOIA 0213 steppings. I've pushed about 3 of those above the 2ghz barrier, stable with watercooling and pc3200 corsair XMS ram. i've kept another running at 1.83ghz stable, and sold the other chips on e*bay after i unlocked them.

great OC chips, great value, what more can i say?

Chance.

The AGOIA's are awesome. I got one and it is running flawlessly at 1.75 GHz (166x10.5) at DEFAULT voltage.

I can get up to 1.85 GHz at 1.85 volts. I do not know how stable it is, as I only booted into windows, and then reset to lower the speed back down (upping the voltage for another 100 mhz and putting PCI cards out of spec is not worth it to me).

I got mine along with a nice case & PS. I love how it's cheaper than an XP 1500... good bang for buck ratio. I'll wait til the thirty daze OEM warranty is up before I lift the sticker and OC madly. :)
