AMD Assured Motherboards? Theres only 2 qualified?
From AMD:
The AMD Assured Program is designed to help builders of
AMD processor based systems identify motherboards which
have passed strict testing criteria. AMD will deem a
motherboard "AMD Assured" after the completion of
electrical and compatibility testing, and a manufacturer
guarantee of providing substantial product in the channel.
The motherboard manufacturer also agrees not to change
the motherboard's components without AMD's prior
approval. The manufacturing partners will be identifying
these motherboards with specific AMD assured model
numbers.

The only 2 motherboards that are AMD ASSURED are:

1. MSI, MS-K7T Power
2. Gigabyte, GA 7ZM-P

The other boards mentioned on their site are only reccomended not assured.
So i guess the KT7 is the board of choice for everyone, do u think amd tested the a7v and dissaprooved it? hmm...

Well, that will give you Tbird/MSI board owners around here a big head...

Actually this is the motherboard, I was looking into buying anyway, once I get a Tbird... I was hoping to wait out and get a KT133a though...

This is a new program announced by AMD. Its possible that other mobo makers will follow. I know that AMD recommended the A7V but was not happy that ASUS defaults the VIO higher than 3.3v.
